CV – Capacitate Volunteers is a youth exchange aiming at promoting volunteering within the youth’s group through the actions developed by youth, through youth and for youth. The exchange valorizes volunteering in two perspectives – first of all, volunteering is being portrayed as a mechanism for personal and professional development and as an effective contribution to the communities’ development. In the new context, fully affected by the global economic crisis, the youth’s access opportunities to job offers had been dramatically diminished and it is the high time that they will take action, seeking for new opportunities to develop themselves, personally and professionally, experiences that could be easy to acquire through the voluntary activities they can be part of. CV – Capacitate Volunteers brings 35 youngsters, from 7 countries, eager to share their experiences related to volunteering and the achievements acquired through these activities and to develop a volunteering experiential campaign – “CV – Capacitate Volunteers” in the University of Bucharest promoting the value of volunteering to personal and community development towards over 10 000 students, enrolled in the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, campaign that will be then replicated in their sending communities and in other 4 Universities, in Romania. Despite promoting volunteering within the youth’s group, the exchange also integrates the 2010’s priorities outcomes’ – as the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion and also integrates, through the activities we are proposing, other priorities in the youth field as: entrepreneurship – mainly social entrepreneurship and youth unemployment. Promoting European citizenship, active youth participation and creating the frame for the competencies’ development in an intercultural setting are also highly valorized through CV – Capacitate Volunteers
